Hi

We would like to know if now EasyLayouts allow us to create interactive search engine on custom fields please ?

With the 1.11 version I got we only could create menu items that were statically pre filtered on some values of the custom fields. It didn’t allow us to create modules or pages that were dynamically filtered according to the values entered by the end user.

Is the "EasyLayouts Filter Module" able to do this ? can you please share some screenshots ?

it would be awesome to build custom search engine this way

and can we also create modules that display contents upon preset filters ?

Thanks for your answer

Cyril
Please see the demo website - https://demo.easylayouts.net/recipes

The allergens and ingredients are searches against custom fields.

In the layout for the module I have selected the fields I wish to search against. At present there is no way to add custom css classes to the filters as they use the Joomla form input HTML so you would control the presentation using the custom css section of the module.

Ok thanks

I understand from the demo that we can create our own custom search engine. It answers 50% of my request.

The remaining issue is can we build a module that displays filtered contents according to some custom fields values ?

for this moduel I don't want to allow the user to enter values

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean,

Can you explain what you are looking for in a bit more detail with a screenshot/sketch picture perhaps to explain?

sorry: here is some details:

I need to create several pre set modules on several pages that display different results.

on page 1 we have a module that displays the recipes with SALT
on page 2 we have a module that displays the recipes with PEPPER
and so on

In your https://demo.easylayouts.net/recipes example I'm not sure how the Similar Recipes module works

Thanks

cyril
If you use the core Joomla Articles Category module then EasyLayouts adds additional options to the "filtering options" tab.

For the "similar recipes" module on the demo site it uses this module set to 'dynamic' mode (which picks up the category for the article currently being viewed - in our case 'recipes').

I have now installed the upcoming version 1.2.2 on the demo site and create 2 new modules using the related articles linkage.

The recipe items has a 'chef' field so now on the chef page we list all the recipes the currently viewed chef created and on the recipe page we have details of the chef in a module on the side.
