yes, the layout that Joomla generates when you click on the tag link in an article - such as
option=com_tags&id=17&lang=en&view=tag

We did start experimenting with the possibility and found a way to customise the display of a single tag view but not the tags list view.

The work was put on hold because of lack of demand at the time - is this what you need to customise?

I don't "need" it but I would use tags more often if they could be displayed more easily (and prettier). Currently I sort of avoid them because the display looks haphazard.

I'm still looking into this - our problem is there is no easy way to intercept the tags list view to change the output.

This will be easier in Joomla 4.0
