Hi,
I thought "Article Category" field had the option to link (or not) to articles of the same category as this option is available for article titles that link to article.
Do you plan to add this functionality in a future version of EL?

In your menu item what options do you have set for " Show Category" and "Link Category" ?

You mean like a related articles module within the article detail section?

...not really, more like this: when a user clicks on category link all articles in that category are displayed as blog layout, like “Category Blog” menu item...

Ahh! A link to a category filtered list.


Do you have a page with an active filter module? In which case you can construct the link using the category ID from the article.

p.s. You could use the article category field and set it to output the value or both value and label.

I’m using an article category field with value as output, but there is no link in the value, is that supposed to include the link as well?

ok, my apologies, "Link Category" was setting to "No", so stupid mistake of my part

Not stupid at all!

I'm wondering if we should replicate this type of setting in the layout with the default to inherit from Joomla but with the scope to override directly in the layout.
